Miss Linda
I have been teaching at Achiever Christian School for over 20 years and .the time has gone by so quickly. I guess that proves that if you love what you are doing, time flies and it never feels like work. I have been married for 34 years and have two grown sons. I was introduced to this wonderful school because my oldest son attended the preschool. I found it such a nurturing and loving environment that both my boys attended Achiever through sixth grade. I had been working as a staff accountant for a Certified Public Accounting firm, but after I volunteered in my oldest son's preschool class, I discovered the joy of working with children. (Much better than sitting behind a desk crunching numbers for various corporations.) So, I quit my accounting job, went back to school, and received the proper education to teach preschoolers. My name is Jeana Wildemuth and I have been working at Achiever Christian School for the last six years. I have been primarily involved in managing the Student Life program for preschool, but after completing my degree in Early Childhood Education, I have been hired as the Jr. Kindergarten aide. Along with working in Jr. Kindergarten, I am still active in the Student Life after-school program daily. I have a real heart for Achiever....especially since I was once a preschool student attending Achiever. I have such fond memories of my student days and hope to help children enjoy their school experience as much as I did. My family is also long-term members of First Baptist Church on the Hill and it has always felt like a home away from home to me. I have been teaching at Achiever for the last 15 years and have found it exceedingly rewarding. I have been married for the last 25 years and I have two grown children; Stephen (23) and Rebecca (27) who has recently married a wonderful man. Although I have a BA degree from San Jose State, I have never stopped learning. Not only have I attended any and all seminars, conferences and workshops that have become available, I learn every day from my students! Achiever has become like a second home to me, not just because of the fact that my own children have graduated from Achiever, and that the second grade teacher is my beloved sister-in-law, but because I feel that Achiever is a special place that values community and personal relationships with staff and parents alike. My name is Miss Karen and I have been working for Achiever Preschool for 18 years. I have two grown sons who both have graduated from Achiever when they were young. That makes Achiever very important to me. I feel that every child that comes into my class is like one of my boys when they were entering their first years of school. This makes me want to create the most rewarding and positive experience possible for every child who comes to my class. My favorite is watching the joy that the children experience while they are creating "masterpieces" at art time. While most adults would not think anything about painting on paper, children could just as easily be found painting their hands and arms instead. They come without any preconceived ideas and that allows them to have completely open minds. What a wonder to watch! Every day is a day of new experiences and I get to be carried along for the ride. I am glad to have the opportunity to share a little about myself. I have been married for 14 years to my wonderful husband, Rick, and I am a mother of two wonderful children. My son and daughter have both attended Achiever. I have been teaching preschool for 12 years and six of them have been here at Achiever. I love being able to express my faith freely and hopefully impart a love of the Lord in my students. I feel that my job is my purpose and gift from the Lord. I have completed all my units in child development and am currently taking more classes to complete my B.A. My style of teaching can be described as hands-on learning, and I love to get the kids up and moving through games and large motor activities. I feel they learn more when they are allowed to move around in their environment, engaging all of their senses. I look forward to being a partner in your child's spiritual and cognitive development.

I was born in Peru, but came to America when I was 18 years old. I have worked at Achiever Preschool for over 17 years, and I am passionate about teaching young children, to help further their early childhood education and to teach them to speak Spanish as well. I also have the special position of Assistant Preschool Director at Achiever Christian which keeps me very busy. I have been married for 27 years and have four children; Rachel (24), Ben (19), and twins, Jonathan & Andrew (9) who attend third grade at Achiever Christian School. They are the love of my life! That is why I chose Achiever staff to be their preschool, elementary and middle school educators, as well as making Achiever my home away from home professionally. I absolutely love to teach! I have been teaching for all of my grown life...especially since I have seven children of my own and eight grandchildren. Professionally, I have been teaching at Achiever Christian Preschool since 1991 and joined Church on the Hill in 1997. I am also the Nursery Director for First Babtist Church on the Hill which keeps me busy each weekend. I wasn't kidding when I said, "I love to teach." Achiever has been my passion and my heart. My youngest son and two of my nephews have graduated from Achiever and I have been blessed to be the teacher to four of my own grandchildren. When my son attended Achiever, I knew that I wanted to be a part of this very important place. There is a sense of community and family that makes Achiever different from other schools. It is contagious! My favorite age to work with is the very smallest children. The little three year old kids just seem to be where I belong. My name is Denise Brady and I have been teaching at Achiever Christian Preschool for the last 18 years. I have three grown children and ten grandchildren....all of them close to my heart. The joke around Achiever Christian School is that there is a Brady in every classroom. Many nieces, nephews, and several of my own grandchildren have had the privilege of attending Achiever. We have realized that it is hard to find a place as warm and nurturing as Achiever. The most exciting part of my day is seeing life discovered through the eyes of a child. With their sense of humor and charm the children make me feel like this school is just another extension of home. I hope you will see what makes this place so special....love, laughter, and joy.
